The RM 47 Tourbillon's samurai armor is entirely handcrafted by engraver Pierre-Alain Lozeron and painter Valérie Lozeron, in homage to the Japanese code of Bushido.

The tourbillon cage appears at six o'clock, adorned with the crest or coat of arms of the Asano samurai family once headed by the legendary Asano Naganori, a samurai of the late 17th and early 18th centuries who was posthumously executed by 47 ronin revenge. It represents two crossed falcon feathers and is also engraved in miniature scale on the warrior's helmet. Above it, a pair of upturned swords sweep across the dial, with a Japanese maple leaf motif adorning the titanium, carbon TPT and polished 3N gold crown.
